Role and Responsibilities

The Vice President, National Sales will lead the sales and marketing organization throughout the U.S. Collaborating with and reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will have full-scope responsibilities, including:

  • Develop an overarching sales strategy for business growth within established customer base
  • Define new business pursuits including targeted high-value, strategic accounts
  • Identify and participate in decisions on new market entries, and new potential business opportunities
  • Create vertical specific sales initiatives
  • Develop short/mid/long vision, growth initiatives, business planning, forecasting, competitive analysis
  • Manage, innovate and spark the marketing, branding and messaging effort
  • Evaluate and improve sales tools, methods and processes
  • Continuously build, grow and develop the sales organization
  • Align compensation plans with specific performance expectations
  • Review and optimize territory development plans with salespeople
  • Develop and reinforce specific accountability for individuals on the sales team
  • Lead an engaged, collaborative, innovative and highly motivated sales organization


  • Minimum of 7 years of successful sales/sales management in an IT solutions environment [“IT Solutions” for the purposes of this requirement excludes IT hardware solutions, IT managed services and stand-alone or “boxed” software sales. “IT Solutions” includes technology specific or technology ambivalent “IT Consulting” and narrow to broad range “IT Projects” including software development
  • Direct experience and knowledge of IT initiatives and projects in Fortune 500 to SMB environments
  • Complex IT Solutions selling in an enterprise level context
  • Expert knowledge of solution selling in a client relationship driven context
  • Well grounded and diversified technology and business acumen
  • BA/BS in a related discipline
  • MBA not required but will be considered as a significant positive
