Strategic National Account Manager – Minneapolis, MN


Principal role involving sales of large, complex and scalable IT Solutions/Projects to IT executives and other IT/business leadership. Focus will be market expansion and strategic new business development pursuits. Highest level of IT Solutions sales, involving a collaborative approach in which you will manage a team of client engagement, subject matter experts (SME) and other sales support team assets in executing your sales agenda.

Location: Minneapolis area

Starting Salary: $150,000 to $225,000

  • Minimum starting base salary will likely be $150,000
  • Based on relevant IT Solutions experience and skill, salary could range from $175,00 to $225,000

Commission and Bonus: Robust, revenue-based commission plan with additional individual, branch and company performance-based incentives.

Total Compensation: Could far exceed $400,000

High-level IT solutions selling with a focus on business expansion in the Minneapolis market. Pursuit of high potential client prospects including the largest and most complex of IT/business environments.

  • Develop and execute a specifically targeted new business development strategy
  • Manage the collaborative selling process from inception to completion
  • Initiate, develop, deepen and strengthen client relationships with decision makers, influencers and key constituents across Fortune 500/other large organizations
  • Close project deals, including large and highly scalable IT/consulting projects
  • Ensure client satisfaction and expand organizational touch/influence
  • Establish trusted and preferred client advisory status

The ideal candidate will have

  • 5+ years of successful experience selling scalable IT/consulting projects in a high-level consulting or other closely relevant environment
  • Executive-level solutions selling capabilities with experience selling to CIO, CTO, VP IT, other senior IT executives and influencers and business-side leadership (COO, VP business lines, et al) in Fortune 500/other large corporate environments.
  • Knowledge of both the technology and business sides of larger, more complex organizations. Passion for solving business problems with technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish preferred senior advisory status with clients
  • Effective strategy development, business planning and sales process management skills
  • Ability to lead a team of sales support assets including engagement, subject matter experts (SME), other sales enablement and client services personnel.
  • Executive level communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or other post-graduate degree is a plus.
