Recruiting was no accident
As a former sales executive, Deare understood that all successes were owed to the collective talent of his teams. As a hiring decision-maker responsible for assembling large teams, he was determined to define the distinctions that separated top performers from others. He developed a passion for identifying, recruiting and hiring A-players. Then, he developed a system. Deare’s passion and system for building talent-based teams ultimately led him to make a mid-career change into the recruiting profession.

Deare began his career as an executive recruiter in Minneapolis, developing an emerging technology recruiting practice for the largest U.S. executive search firm. Eventually, he was recruited by a Minnesota-based Fortune 100 Company to take on executive recruiting and management recruiting responsibilities for a $1 billion business unit. In the Fortune 100 recruiting role, Deare wore four hats: executive recruiter, management recruiter, sales recruiter and recruiting strategy consultant. Using the system and strategies developed as a sales executive, Deare identified and directly recruited top talent from competitive companies. The results were Rick Deare, President and Founder of Deare Recruiting Solutions, a top recruiting firm in Minneapolis, MNremarkable and the recruitment experience was game-changing. The internal recruiting, selection and hiring capability developed remains with the company to this day.

Deare Recruiting Solutions was founded in Minneapolis, MN as Deare & Associates, Inc. in 1998. The same passion that drove him as a sales executive can be found today at Deare in a team of professional recruiters dedicated to helping high growth companies attract, compel and hire difference-making talent.
